Gems for Jesus exists to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ and to support the search for a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.

In February of 2026, Type 1 Diabetes met us. Our child was diagnosed after entering the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with Diabetic Ketoacedosis (DKA). 

Every day, T1D Warriors and their caregivers rise to meet the highs and lows of life — while simultaneously battling the relentless highs and lows of a chronic disease. Those living with Type 1 Diabetes depend on daily insulin injections to survive. It is an incurable, lifelong autoimmune disease that demands courage, resilience, and faith.

Just as the natural world forges gems under immense pressure, God uses the weight of our trials to shape us into something radiant. When we keep fighting, stay faithful, and trust that He will never leave us — we are transformed. In Him, we become Gems for Jesus.
